Fibreglass Pools
Over the decades technical innovations have enabled fiberglass pools to become elegantly designed and aesthetically pleasing. This is due to advancements in the industry such as colored finishes, ceramic and glass tiles, ledges, water features, stunning pool lights, elevated spas and much more.
Fiberglass Pool Designs
Fiberglass swimming pools have a number of design shapes and come fully constructed. Fiberglass swimming pools are manufactured in the factory and transported to site on a low loader. The excavation is generally completed prior to the arrival of the fiberglass swimming pool shell, this is to enable the shell to be craned directly into position. Fiberglass swimming pools are somewhat limited in shape and size, in addition to that, the depth of the pool cannot be altered. Fiberglass pools are generally only suitable for level sites.
Fiberglass swimming pools are easy to maintain because of the surface porosity. The surface of a fiberglass pool, called the gel coat, is virtually non-porous. This inhibits the growth of algae and reduces the amount of sanitizing chemicals required to maintain the pool.
